California was the place to be!

George Reeves Tour 2005

Photos provided by  Jim Nolt and daughter Lisa, Alfred Walker,

Armand Vaquer and Carl Glass

First Stop--Pasadena! This is the house where George grew up!

It was a good thing Alfred had his book Speeding Bullet with him

as we had difficulty finding the exact house! However, the book has a beautiful picture and the house is easily identified even though it has been remodeled and added to!

Tour group included: Michael Goldman, Steve Randisi, Lou Koza, Alfred Walker, Carl Glass, Jim Nolt, Steven Kirk, Jeff Germann, and tour guide Armand Vaquer.

Photos taken by Jim's daughter, Lisa; Jeff's wife, Laura; and Leslie.

Front and side view of 1447 Michigan Street, Pasadena California

All these brains--and one really GOOD book!

By the way--that is a palm frond in the lower left of the picture.

The wind was blowing wildly on Saturday and there was still quite a mess in the street!

Some places have snow in November--LA just gets some wild winds!

Next Stop--The mausoleum where George is interred.

Above is quite an interesting mirror shot, don't you think? Thanks Laura!

Now--off to Benedict Canyon and George's last house!

We were quite a sight trying to keep out of harms way (cars drive quite fast in this canyon) and still get pictures. Picture on the right is me and Jim Nolt walking against traffic.

Actually, the city has widened the street by taking from the front yards.

It is now almost impossible to park a car in the driveway without it sticking out in the street!

NOW for an interesting adventure!

Alfred, Leslie and I had time to kill before Alfred's was due at the airport, soooooo...

...we went in search of Krypton from Superman on Earth! Does this look familiar?

It was quite a hike to get this picture on an old road in Griffith Park, but it was worth it!

It was lots of fun! And we have memories to last a lifetime!
